Enable Tapping on Fedora 17 Xfce

Menu – Settings – Session and Startup – Application Autostart

Add: Name: Tap to click ON | Command: synclient TapButton1=1

# synclient TapButton1=1

or

# vim /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/00-enable-taps.conf

Insert the text below:

Section “InputClass”

Identifier “tap-by-default”

MatchIsTouchpad “on”

Option “TapButton1” “1”

EndSection

In Terminal test:

$ synclient TapButton1=1
$ synclient -l | grep -i vertedge
$ synclient VertEdgeScroll=1
